Jetpack provides a comprehensive range of standard, non-branded packaging materials as part of your fulfillment plan. From corrugated boxes to bubble mailers and specialty containers, these materials are stocked at every fulfillment center and ready to ship your products. Understanding your packaging options helps you set accurate product preferences, avoid order delays, and maintain consistent pricing.
Setting Packaging Preferences
Every product in your catalog needs packaging preferences configured before orders can ship. This tells Jetpack which type of packaging to use for each product, ensuring smooth fulfillment operations. Need to update packaging preferences for multiple products at once? The 20 x 20 x 20 in (50.8 x 50.8 x 50.8 cm) box is designated for B2C shipments only and is not supported for B2B orders. Additionally, orders weighing over 50 lbs (22 kg) may be split into multiple shipments as a safety measure.
Bubble Mailers
Bubble mailers include internal bubble wrap padding for lightweight product protection. Available in standard sizes at all fulfillment centers.

Ship In Own Container (SIOC)
SIOC packaging allows products to be shipped in the original packaging they arrived in at Jetpack. This is ideal for products that come in their own retail-ready packaging. How SIOC Works:If an order includes multiple items (whether SIOC or standard packaging items), all products will ship together in the most optimal standard box as determined by the Jetpack box algorithm. SIOC packaging is used only when a single SIOC item ships alone.
- SIOC packaging must have at least one flat side measuring 6 x 4 in (15.24 x 10.16 cm) to accommodate a shipping label
- Packaging containing hazardous material markings requires prior written approval from Jetpack Care
- The total fulfillment cost for a SIOC shipment is based on the outer box dimensions, rounded up to the nearest inch
Custom Packaging
For products that require branded packaging or don’t fit standard options, Jetpack supports custom packaging materials. Learn more about custom packaging options and requirements.
- Custom packaging materials must be sent to Jetpack fulfillment centers and stocked as a unique SKU in your inventory
- Custom mailers cannot exceed 18 inches in length or 14 inches in width
- Custom boxes or mailers must measure at least 6 x 4 in (15.24 x 10.16 cm)
- One flat side must be at least 6 x 4 in (15.24 x 10.16 cm) for the shipping label
- Custom boxes with hazardous markings require written approval from Jetpack Care
- Special boxes requiring multiple folds must be processed via a kitting request

Can I have samples of Jetpack's standard packaging shipped to me?
Yes. You can request samples of standard packaging materials at a cost. These samples are stored as SKUs under your company’s inventory in the relevant Jetpack fulfillment center.To request samples, submit a paid request to Jetpack Care with the packaging type (e.g., box, bubble mailer, poly mailer), dimensions, and quantity required.Example Request:“I’d like to send samples of Jetpack’s standard packaging to my inventory so I can send them to myself. Before I submit a manual order, can you please help add the following packaging types and sizes to my inventory: [list packaging types, sizes, and quantities]”

Once the packaging samples are added as SKUs in your inventory, submit a manual B2B or B2C order to have the standard packaging SKU(s) shipped to your desired location.Orders of 25 units or more should be submitted as a B2B order. Make sure to send all units on hand to avoid ongoing storage costs for the packaging samples.

What fees are associated with ordering packaging samples?
You will be charged the following fees to ship packaging samples:
- Paid Request Fee: Charged at an hourly rate for moving the packaging to your inventory
- B2B/B2C Fulfillment Fees: Vary depending on the type of order (check your Jetpack dashboard for local currency rates)
- Warehousing Storage Fees: Incurred while the samples are stored as SKUs in your inventory (each packaging type/size must be stored under a unique SKU for accurate inventory management)
Which packaging will Jetpack use if an order contains products requiring different packaging types?
Which packaging will Jetpack use if an order contains products requiring different packaging types?
To ensure the most delicate product is properly protected during shipping, Jetpack will use the most protective packaging material, as long as all items in the order fit within the optimal package.For example, if one product requires a bubble mailer and another requires a poly mailer, both will ship in a bubble mailer (the more protective option).
