# Sending Pallets

> Requirements and best practices for shipping palletized freight to Jetpack fulfillment centers, including pallet specifications and regional requirements.

  Palletized shipments offer an efficient way to send large quantities of inventory to Jetpack fulfillment centers. Understanding pallet requirements and regional specifications ensures smooth receiving and avoids unexpected fees.

## Creating Your WRO for Pallets

Before shipping any pallets to Jetpack, you must [create a Warehouse Receiving Order](/fulfillment/sending-inventory/creating-wro). Understanding the WRO process helps ensure smooth shipment creation.

### WRO Process Steps

The WRO creation process consists of 6 steps, and you must complete each step to move forward. However, you can edit details at any time during the process, though changes may affect subsequent steps. Incomplete WROs are automatically saved as drafts on your WRO management page.

## Pallet Standards and Requirements

Jetpack uses pallets for inventory storage but does not provide or exchange pallets with merchants. When sending palletized freight, keep these important requirements in mind:

### General Pallet Policy

**Jetpack does not exchange pallets**: While we use pallets internally to store your inventory in our fulfillment centers, we do not provide empty pallets for outbound shipments or exchange pallets during receiving. Plan to either:

* Use expendable pallets that can remain with your inventory
* Arrange for pallet pickup after delivery through your freight carrier
* Include pallet return arrangements in your shipping agreement

  Even if you ship inventory in boxes, Jetpack organizes products on pallets within the warehouse for efficient storage and picking. This internal palletization doesn't affect how you send your inventory.

## Regional Pallet Requirements

Outside of the USA, some regions have specific pallet requirements. Sending the correct pallet type avoids repalletization fees and receiving delays.

### UK Fulfillment Centers

  Euro pallets have specific dimensions (120cm x 80cm x 144cm) that differ from standard US pallets. Using incorrect pallet sizes in UK/EU regions will result in repalletization fees charged to your account.

## Labeling Requirements for Pallets

Proper labeling ensures pallets are received and processed correctly:

## Timing Considerations

### Shipment Arrival Windows

**28-Day Completion Window**: If any box or pallet in your WRO arrives **more than 28 days after the first unit**, the original WRO will be marked as complete. Subsequent arrivals will be moved to a new [Unidentified Receiving Order (URO)](/fulfillment/sending-inventory/unidentified-receiving-orders) for processing.

  When sending multiple pallets for a single WRO, ensure all pallets ship and arrive within 28 days of the first pallet's arrival. This keeps your entire shipment under one WRO for easier tracking.

## International Freight Considerations

When shipping palletized freight internationally, additional requirements apply:

### Customs and Import Requirements

International pallet shipments require specific customs and shipping documentation:

| ------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Shipping Terms**       | <ul><li>Must use **DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)**, not DDU</li><li>Never select "bill receiver" for duties and taxes</li></ul>                          |
| **Importer of Record**   | <ul><li>Your company must be listed as the Importer of Record</li><li>Jetpack is the delivery location only, never the importer</li></ul>            |
| **Commercial Invoice**   | <ul><li>Include a local customs broker</li><li>Provide complete merchant contact information (Name, Address, Contact Person, Phone, Email)</li></ul> |
| **Shipping Labels**      | <ul><li>Purchase shipping labels separately for insurance purposes</li><li>Do not rely on carrier-provided insurance alone</li></ul>                 |
| **UK Inbound Shipments** | <ul><li>CDS (Customs Declaration Service) forms required for merchants not based in the UK</li></ul>                                                 |

  If Jetpack receives a carrier invoice for duties, taxes, or shipping fees because of incorrect documentation, the full amount plus a 15% administrative fee will be billed back to your account.
